Blossoming

“Please entrust me with a baby,”
I petitioned, yea begged the Lord.
“Please Father, don’t tell me maybe,”
I bemoaned, pleaded, and implored.

The Father knew my deepest desire,
and He granted my special request.
A precious infant I acquired
to nurture and sleep at my breast.

My husband and I couldn't have any biological children, but we have had the deepest joy in the adoption of our two children. So to me, my hopes and dreams are wrapped up in those precious babies that someone else graciously made an adoption plan for. They nurtured and loved them so that I could have a family. That's what this piece of art means to me.
